This state-of-the-art facility brings together a range of services under one roof, creating a more seamless and supportive experience for patients. Optimum Group was engaged by Kier to deliver crucial elements of the building envelope and internal structure, contributing to the successful creation of this vital healthcare hub.  

Execution

Optimum Group provided specialist teams for the comprehensive scope of works. This involved meticulous planning, quality material selection, and efficient installation of the external envelope and internal structures. A collaborative approach with Kier ensured seamless integration. Certified installers implemented Quelfire’s firestopping solutions for optimal safety.

Externally:

• Steel Framing System (SFS): Design, supply, and installation of the external SFS to provide the structural framework for the building envelope.
• Sheathing Board: Application of sheathing board to the SFS, creating a stable and weather-resistant substrate.
• EPDM Roofing: Installation of a high-performance EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) roofing system, ensuring long-term weather protection and durability.

Internally:

• Partitions: Construction of internal partitions to create functional and adaptable spaces within the centre, including patient rooms, consultation areas, and staff facilities.
• Ceilings: Installation of various ceiling systems to enhance acoustics, aesthetics, and integrate building services.
• Fire Stopping: Implementation of a comprehensive firestopping solution throughout the building to compartmentalise fire and ensure the safety of patients and staff. This included early engagement and collaboration with Quelfire, as highlighted in their fire stopping early engagement case study.
