Unity Street is a major £24 million redevelopment scheme to transform a derelict area of land within Bristol’s Old Market Conservation Area.

This mixed-use development for main contractor Midas Construction comprises two and six-storey blocks featuring 202 student bedrooms and residential properties. It also sees three existing red brick buildings converted into retail, office and restaurant space.

Work commenced in October 2018 and continues, with the student accommodation phase handed over in September. The project has a contract value of £1.47 million. The Optimum Team is led by Operations Manager Steve Ng, Site Manager Steven Ng Jnr, QS Laura Weston and a site team of between 25-35 operatives.

Optimum Group continues to deliver a range of services including internal lightweight partitioning, drylining, SFS, suspended secondary ceilings and Fire Stopping.

Optimum Group has built up an impressive track record in the student accommodation sector, with previous projects Fitzalan and Oxford Street both in Cardiff and also for Midas Construction and Capital Quarter Cardiff and Swansea University Campus for client Vinci.
