Supporting The ToyBox Project and Mind this Christmas

At Optimum, giving back to the communities that we work within is an important part of who we are. This festive season, we are proud to be supporting The Toy Box Project, alongside our new client partners Sacyr UK & Ireland, helping to bring joy to children and families who need it most. 

The project is a brilliant initiative that collects unwanted toys and redistributes them to families and organisations across the community. Their work ensures that children, who may otherwise go without, can still experience the excitement and magic that comes with receiving a gift during the holiday season. 

As part of this initiative, we have been supporting the collection of toys and technology suitable for children of all ages, from newborns through to teenagers. While every donation is valuable, there is particularly high demand for toys for children aged 7 and above, including action figures, dolls, soft toys, animals, dinosaurs, games and age-appropriate technology. 

This initiative is about more than donations alone. It is about coming together as a team, alongside our clients and partners, to make a tangible difference at a time of year that can be challenging for many families. Seeing the generosity and enthusiasm from our teams, clients and partners has been a reminder of the impact we can have when we come together with a shared purpose. Small actions, when combined, can make a meaningful difference to families at what can be a challenging time of year. 

Alongside our support for The Toy Box Project, we are also continuing a long-standing Optimum tradition this Christmas by making a charitable donation in place of corporate gifts. As in previous years, we have chosen to support Mind, with our donation going to Bristol Mind, helping to fund vital mental health support, advice and services within our local community. 

Mental health support is an issue that affects many people, and we are proud to play a small part in supporting organisations that provide care and guidance to those who need it most. 

We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to our festive initiatives this year, whether through donations, time or support. Your generosity helps extend our impact beyond the workplace and into the communities around us.
