Optimum Combined Services (OCS) is seeking experienced subcontract decorators to support a growing pipeline of commercial and residential works across the South West and South Wales.
With several new and live projects underway and a busy period ahead, we are keen to connect with reliable decorators who take pride in delivering high-quality finishes and are looking for consistent work with an established contractor.
Large-scale decoration is a core specialism for OCS, delivered alongside our drylining, plastering and screeding capability as part of Optimum Group.
Scope of Works
- Preparation of internal surfaces to a high standard, including filling, sanding, caulking and making good prior to decoration
- Application of mist coats, undercoats and finish coats to walls, ceilings and woodwork
- Working to specification on commercial and residential schemes, including apartment blocks, student accommodation, healthcare and care home environments
- Delivering consistent quality across repeat units, working to programme and to agreed handover standards
- Snagging and remedial works as required prior to sign-off
- Working alongside OCS site management, Optimum trades and other subcontract packages on shared sites
- Maintaining a clean, safe and tidy working area throughout
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial and/or residential decorating
- Valid CSCS card
- Own tools and transport
- Public liability insurance and UTR / CIS registration
- Ability to work to programme and to a consistent finish standard
- Reliable, punctual and safety-focused
- Gangs welcome — please indicate numbers when applying
Terms of Engagement
- Self-employed subcontract basis, paid under CIS
- Rates: to be agreed
- Consistent workload across a live and forthcoming project pipeline
- Working locations across Bristol, Bath, Cardiff, Gloucester, Swindon and Somerset
- Working alongside an established South West and South Wales specialist contractor
